Can everyone be motivated to do tasks/things that are in their own interest?
Seemingly yes. But if looking around me, I don’t see super fit, financially sound high achievers. As health and financial and personal wealth would be often categorized as an interest or desire.
There is that component of talent, and I am quite convinced that everyone has their own talent, while some may be quick in naming FIFA or drinking. The real talents spur from doing what you like doing. Surely the golden rule in life is doing what you like doing. Steve Jobs reminded himself every morning that if today was my last day, would my outcomes of the day be worth it. I find it provoking that most are not aware of a simple “before I die I want to….”.
The number one regret of people on their deathbed is: “I wish I’d had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me.”
I am going to track my day, in 30 min segment to make time for doing what I really want to do, and urge anyone wishing they could do more by evaluating your current state. Stay productive, not busy.
